The outgoing president of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) Capital Chapter has been named Chapter President of the Year by the association. Jay Morgan-Schleuning served as president of the Capital Chapter for the 2016 – 2017 fiscal year. The award was announced at FPRA’s Annual Conference in Orlando.
Over the last year, Morgan-Schleuning led the chapter through an extensive refocusing that resulted in a three-year strategic plan, development plan and member engagement measurement system. The chapter also developed an aggressive social media marketing plan for membership meetings, which inspired 60 non-members to attend events. Chapter membership grew to 140 practitioners, making it the largest in the state.
