2013 Winners: Jim Ayotte, Jim Wacksman and Lisa Chamberlain
Tallahassee, FL (July 17, 2013) -- The Florida Society of Association Executives (FSAE) presented its most prestigious leadership awards at its recent Annual Conference held at the Marriott Tampa Waterside Hotel & Marina in Tampa, Florida. The Executive Member of the Year Award honors an association executive who has displayed the highest commitment to professional growth and dedication to advancing the association management profession. The Associate Member of the Year Award honors an association supplier whose dedication and leadership also advances the industry. FSAE’s Rising Star Award honors a member who contributes significant time and talent to ensure FSAE’s continued success.
The award winners for 2013 are:
- Executive Member of the Year: James R. Ayotte, CAE, Executive Director of the Florida Manufactured Housing Association
- Associate Member of the Year: Lisa B. Chamberlain, CMP, National Sales Manager, Visit Tampa Bay
- Rising Star: Jim Wacksman, CEO of Association Studios, Inc.
“The Florida Society of Association Executives represents the over 1.5 million association professionals in the State of Florida. Our award recipients were nominated by their peers and selected for their outstanding leadership and volunteerism,” said Chair of the FSAE Board of Directors Eleanor Warmack, CAE. “The FSAE award recipients stand out in the midst of association executives and our affiliate members as individuals who inspire through their leadership and service to others. We congratulate each of the honorees and their organizations for encouraging their involvement and commitment to the association industry.”
Each year FSAE awards three individuals for their leadership, dedication, and professionalism in FSAE and within their current organizations. Each recipient is nominated by their peers and selected by committee-review according to a strict criterion of excellence and achievement. Award recipients’ professionalism and leadership are evident in both services to the association management profession and to the local community.
